Human Resources DirectorLocated in Ithaca, NY A beautiful, skilled nursing facility located in Ithaca, NY is looking for a experienced Human Resources Director to join their team.
Salary: $65K range
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Director:
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the HR policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
- Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters and discipline.
- Personnel file audits for compliance
- Maintains an HRIS (Meditech) that meets the organization's personnel information needs. Maintains timekeeping via Kronos.
- Reports on Quality stats at quarterly and annual Quality meetings
- Monitors all HR department analytics.
- Participates on Policies and Procedures, Corporate Compliance and Employee Events committees
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
- Responsible for compliance with Office of Mental Health and Department of Health requirements
- Communicates to Executive staff and CEO during weekly team meetings on any HR information.
- Participate in DSRIP/NCI meetings as needed and complete required tasks.
- Contract administration
Qualifications of the Human Resources Director:
- Must have HR experience
- Must have long term care experience
- Must be computer savvy
- Must have excellent communication skills
